The shape and the material used for constructing have a significant effect on the resistance and knife life.

This rotor knife is made of tool steel and is thus assigned to our X-version, which is the standard variant in most break down applications.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

In this option, the components are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears evenly over its lifespan.

Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 45°.
