Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the service life of the rotor knife.

However, this option must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the spare parts. Consequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

 

Fastening in the machine:

When attaching, please also ensure that the support of the knives is in an ideal condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
