Cutting performance and durability:

Through the use of various materials and the variance in the shape, the component can be matched to the break down application in terms of throughput and service life.

The Y-option of this product is made of alloyed tool steel. In contrast to the X-version, it is approx. 5 % harder and thus offers longer durability. At the same time, nonetheless, the susceptibility to impurities increases, which can lead to fractures more quickly.

In this variant, the spare parts are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears consistently over its lifespan.

Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

The measurements of the rotor knife are 180mm long, 36.7mm wide and 8mm high.
