The rotor knife can be installed in the cutting mills of the Vogelsang brand.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

This spare part can be customised to the operational scenario, depending on the various materials and the variance in cutting geometry.

In the Y-variant, this product is made of alloyed tool steel. The rotor knife in this variation is approx. 5% harder than the X-option, which results in a longer operating time. Nonetheless, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.

Components of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.

We highlight that this variant should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the rotor knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
