In the X-option, the rotor knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard version in most applications. It is characterised by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

Products of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its tool life.

Hardfacing or welding on this variant should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
