Here you are offered a balanced relationship between resistance to wear and toughness simultaneously.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the lifetime of the rotor knife.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

When attaching the rotor knife, please assure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an ideal contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
