The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a significant effect on the resistance and durability.
The counter knife is made of tool steel and is thus assigned to our X-option, which is the standard variant in most areas of application.
Here you are offered a good compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.
Spare parts of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life cycle.
However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the products. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
Fastening in the machine:
The counter knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.
This counter knife can be used for knives and cutters with a length and width of 80mm. Due to the broad range of recycling machines, further configuration variants are possible.
When fitting the counter knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
