This chopper is made of tool steel and is thus assigned to our X-version, which is the standard option in most applications.

Here you are offered a balanced relationship between insensitivity to wear and toughness simultaneously.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the tool life of the chopper.

We emphasise that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the chopper, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
