Cutting performance and durability:

Through the use of different materials and the variance in the cutting shape, the spare part can be configured to the break down application in terms of throughput and lifetime.

Knifes in this W-option are 5% softer in comparison to the X-variant and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. The part is fabricated out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it perfect for demanding areas of applications. However this variation has a shorter durability.

Spare parts of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life cycle.

However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the spare parts. Consequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
