The item presented is made of tool steel in the X-variation, which is our standard version for most operational scenarios. The hardness of this knife is in the medium range.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the service life of the knife.

We underline that this option should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

To allow the knife to be fastened, it has a drilling for M20 threads.

When attaching this knife, please ensure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
