The spare part presented is made of tool steel in the X-version, which is our standard variant for most operational scenarios. The hardness of this knife is in the medium range.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

In this option, the spare parts are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the knife wears homogenously over its lifespan.

We emphasise that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
