Cutting performance and durability:

Through the use of different materials and the variance in the cutting geometry, the product can be adjusted to the area of application in terms of throughput and durability.

The X-variation of this spare part is made of tool steel. The variant has a medium hardness and lays between the W- and Y-variations.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the lifetime of the knife.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be significantly weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
