Through the use of particular materials and varying the cutting geometry, the cutting tool can be adjusted to the operational scenario in terms of throughput and longevity.

The item shown is made of tool steel in the X-variation, which is our standard version for most application scenarios. The hardness of this knife is in the medium range.

Here you are offered a balanced relationship between insensitivity to wear and toughness simultaneously.

In this variant, the cutting tools are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the knife wears steadily over its lifetime.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

To fasten the knife, the component to be fixed has a drilling for M12 threads.

When installing the knife, please assure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
