This X-variant knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard option in most applications. Therefore, it has a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

Components of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.

We highlight that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the cutter, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
