The wear behaviour and thus also the lifespan can be impacted by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the performance can be well adapted to the application.

Knives made in this Y-option will extend the operating time of your product. Due to the hardness the susceptibility to impurities is higher, which makes it easier to break.

In this variant, the products are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the knife wears homogenously over its lifetime.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is crucial not to armour or weld on this type, as it will acutely weaken the structure.
