Knife HMED0399-WDR-E by CUTMETALL for recycling machines by Eldan Recycling.
Cutting performance and durability:
The performance of the cutting tool depends chiefly on the variation of the material and cutting geometry.
Knifes in this W-option are 5% softer in comparison to the X-variant and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. The spare part is manufactured out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it suitable for demanding areas of applications. However this version has a shorter tool life.
Spare parts of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.
Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be significantly weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
Fastening in the machine:
The knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.
For fastening, the knife has a drilling for M16 threads.
It is imperative that the knife is only affixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with intact supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
General characteristics:
This component measures 399mm in length, 65.8mm in width and 35mm in height.
As the knife is part of our Eco Line, this product is a cost-efficient alternative to the Premium Line.
