Knife HMED0399-YDR-E from CUTMETALL for recycling machines from Eldan Recycling

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The wear behaviour and thus also the lifetime of the product can be impacted by the material and the shape. This means that the efficiency can be well adjusted to the input.

In the Y-version, this component is made of alloyed tool steel. The knife in this option is approx. 5% harder than the X-variation, which results in a longer durability. However, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the service life of the knife.

However, this variant must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the components. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

The item has a drilling for attaching to M16 threads.

When installing the knife, please ensure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.

 

General characteristics:

The dimensions of the product are 399mm in length, 65.9mm in width and 35mm in height.
