In the X-version, the knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard option in most applications. It is characterised by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a balanced relationship between resistance to wear and toughness simultaneously.

Cutting tools of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.

Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
