This knife can be fitted for shredding machines of the Mewa UG 1608 model range from Mewa/Ehehalt/Andritz Mewa/THM.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The wear behaviour and thus also the service life can be influenced by the material and the shape. This means that the efficiency can be well configured to the break down application.

The W-variant is made of alloy tool steel. Against the X-variation, it has a shorter operating time due to the 5 % lower hardness. However it is also less fragile in parallel. Knifes of the W-variant are ideal for applications where the contact surface is no longer flat or there are impurities in the input material.

Items of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life cycle.

We underline that this version should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

When attaching, please also assure that the support of the knifes is in an undamaged condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.

The dimensions of the component are 195mm in length, 56mm in width and 35mm in height.
