Cutting performance and durability:

The wear behaviour and thus also the longevity can be influenced by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the performance can be well configured to the break down application.

This alloyed tool steel is 5 % softer than the X-option and is therefore less susceptible to fractures. This makes this W-variant applicable for applications where impurities are present in the input. In return, however, this version has a shorter operating time.

Items of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life span.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is crucial not to armour or weld on this type, as it will severely weaken the structure.

Fastening in the machine:

When installing the knife, please assure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with an ideal contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.

The measurements of the knife are 172mm long, 61mm wide and 35mm high.
