Cutting performance and durability:

Through the use of various materials and the variance in the shape, the item can be customised to the area of application in terms of throughput and longevity.

The W-version is constructed from alloyed tool steel. The knife in this option is approx. 5 % softer than the X-variation, which leads to a shorter service life but at the same time it is less fragile. Knives of this variant are used when the contact surface is no longer in an optimal fit or when the input contains impurities.

Cutting tools of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life span.

However, this option must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the items. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

Fastening in the machine:

When fitting the knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
