Cutting performance and durability:

The wear behaviour and thus also the lifetime of the product can be influenced by the material and the shape. This means that the performance can be well customised to the application scenario.

Knifes in this W-version are 5% softer in comparison to the X-variation and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. The component is fabricated out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it ideal for demanding application scenarios. However this variant has a shorter tool life.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the lifetime of the knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of components of this option, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally impaired. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

When fitting the knife, please assure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.

The dimensions of the spare part are 172mm in length, 57mm in width and 28mm in height.

As this knife belongs to the Premium Line, the cutting tool is produced exclusively in Germany.
