The knife can be used in the Lindner Komet and Lindner Komet HP models from Lindner Recyclingtech.
Cutting performance and durability:
The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a considerable influence on the resistance and longevity.
This alloyed tool steel is 5 % softer than the X-option and is therefore less susceptible to fractures. This makes this W-variant fitting for applications where impurities are present in the input. In return, however, this version has a shorter tool life.
Components of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.
However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the products. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
