By contrast, the W9-option wears more rapidly than the X-variation due to its lower hardness. Also the resistance to impurities and the high toughness of the W9-version is a notable feature compared to the X-variant.

Components of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of spare parts of this option, as the structure will otherwise be severely impaired. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.
