In comparison, the W9-variation wears more rapidly than the X-option due to its lower hardness. Also the insensitivity to impurities and the high toughness of the W9-variant is a remarkable feature compared to the X-version.

Spare parts of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.

However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the components. Consequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
