In comparison, the W9-option wears faster than the X-variation due to its lower hardness. Also the resistance to impurities and the high toughness of the W9-version is a remarkable feature compared to the X-option.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the service life of the knife.

We emphasise that this variant should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
