Through the use of particular materials and varying the shape, the product can be configured to the area of application in terms of throughput and lifespan.
The Y-version of this item is made of alloyed tool steel. Compared to the X-variant, it is approx. 5 % harder and thus offers longer service life. At the same time, however, the susceptibility to impurities raises, which can lead to fractures more rapidly.
In this option, the items are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the knife wears steadily over its lifetime.
To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will severely weaken the structure.
