In the X-variation, this knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard version in most break down applications. It is characterised by a medium hardness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the lifetime of the knife.
To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will significantly weaken the structure.
