This X-option knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard variant in most applications. Consequently, it has a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

In this version, the items are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the knife wears consistently over its lifetime.

We emphasise that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

For fastening, the knife has a drilling for M30 threads.

When installing the knife, please ensure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
