Cutting performance and durability:

Through the use of various materials and the variance in the cutting shape, the component can be adjusted to the break down application in terms of throughput and durability.

The W-version is made of alloy tool steel. In contrast to the X-variation, it has a shorter service life due to the 5 % lower hardness. However it is also less fragile in parallel. Knives of the W-variant are fitting for utilizations where the contact surface is no longer flat or there are impurities in the input material.

Components of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life span.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The knife has a drilling for attaching to M30 threads.

The item is suitable for knives and also cutting crowns with the length and width of 100mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, other configuration options can be realised.

It is imperative that the knife is only affixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with ideal supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
