Comparatively, the W9-variation wears more quickly than the X-option due to its lower hardness. Also the insensitivity to impurities and the high toughness of the W9-variant is a remarkable feature compared to the X-version.

Items of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its tool life.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of cutting tools of this variant, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally impaired. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted centered on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

When attaching the counter knife, please assure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
