Cutting performance and durability:

The performance of this cutting tool depends chiefly on the variant of the material and shape.

This alloyed tool steel is 5 % softer than the X-variation and is therefore less susceptible to fractures. This makes this W-option suitable for utilizations where impurities are present in the input. In return, however, this version has a shorter tool life.

In this option, the spare parts are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the counter knife wears evenly over its lifespan.

We underline that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

This counter knife can be used for knives and cutters with a length and width of 34mm. Due to the broad range of recycling machines, further configuration options are possible.

When attaching the counter knife, please ensure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
