In the Y-option, this product is made of alloyed tool steel. The cutter in this version is approx. 5% harder than the X-variation, which results in a longer tool life. Nonetheless, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the service life of the cutter.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will acutely weaken the structure.

Fastening in the machine:

This spare part has a drilling for attaching to M18 threads.

It is imperative that the cutter is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with intact supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
