For crushers, shredders, pre-shredders and post-shredders by the manufacturer Rudnick & Enners the cutter is excellently applicable.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the knife life can be influenced by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the performance can be well adapted to the input.

The component shown is made of tool steel in the X-variation, which is our standard version for most operational scenarios. The hardness of this cutter is in the medium range.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Spare parts of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

To fasten the cutter, the item has a drilling for M20 threads.

It is imperative that the cutter is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with intact supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
