In the X-version, the cutter is made of tool steel, which is our standard variant in most applications. It is identified by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a good compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the lifetime of the cutter.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be seriously weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

This product has a drilling for attaching to M18 threads.

When fitting the cutter, please ensure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
