The wear behaviour and thus also the lifetime of the product can be influenced by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the performance can be well customised to the application.

In the X-variant, the cutter is made of tool steel, which is our standard variation in most break down applications. It is identified by a medium hardness.

Here we offer you a perfect combination of resistance to wear and tear and toughness at the same time.

Components of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of cutting tools of this version, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

To allow the cutter to be fastened, it has a drilling for M18 threads.

When attaching, please also assure that the support of the cutters is in an ideal condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
