This cutting tool is ideally suitable for crushers, shredders, pre-shredders, and post-shredders from Herbold Meckesheim.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The efficiency of this component depends largely on the variation of the material and cutting geometry.

Due to the alloyed tool steel of the Y-version, it is approx. 5 % harder than the X-option. This means that a longer knife life can be secured. In comparison, however, the cutter is more predisposed to impurities, which can lead to fractures more quickly.

Spare parts of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life cycle.

We emphasise that this option should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the cutter, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
