In the X-variant, this cutter is made of tool steel, which is our standard variation in most applications. It is identified by a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the service life of the cutter.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of products of this option, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally impaired. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.

 

Fastening in the machine:

To attach the cutter, the component to be adapted has a drilling for M12 threads.

When fitting the cutter, please ensure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
