The W-variant has a lower wear insensitivity compared to the X-option, but shows a higher toughness. Cutters of this variation are used when the contact surface is no longer in an intact status or the input contains impurities. In the W-version, this product is also produced from tool steel.

In this variant, the cutting tools are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the cutter wears steadily over its lifespan.

We underline that this option should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the cutter, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

When attaching, please also ensure that the support of the cutters is in an ideal condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
