Through the use of various materials and the variance in the shape, the cutting tool can be adjusted to the application area in terms of throughput and knife life.

This alloyed tool steel is 5 % softer than the X-version and is therefore less sensitive to fractures. This makes this W-variant applicable for utilizations where impurities are present in the input. In return, however, this option has a shorter tool life.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the lifetime of the cutter.

Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The cutter has a drilling for attaching to M24 threads.

When fitting the cutter, please ensure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.

This component measures 110mm in length, 110mm in width and 65mm in height.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 71,6°.
