This X-variation counter knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard version in most areas of application. Therefore, it has a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the tool life of the counter knife.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

This cutting tool is applicable for knives and also cutters with the length and width of 80mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, further configuration variants can be realised.

When attaching the counter knife, please ensure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
