The performance of this product depends primarily on the variant of the material and cutting shape.
In the X-version, the counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variation in most break down applications. It is identified by a medium hardness.
Here you are offered a balanced relationship between resistance to wear and toughness simultaneously.
Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the service life of the counter knife.
We emphasise that this option should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
Fastening in the machine:
The counter knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.
The component is applicable for knives and also cutters with the length and width of 40mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, other configuration options can be realised.
When fitting the counter knife, please assure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
