This counter knife is made of tool steel and is thus assigned to our X-variant, which is the standard variation in most application areas.
This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.
Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the tool life of the counter knife.
However, this option must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the products. Consequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
Fastening in the machine:
The counter knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.
This component fits knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 40mm. Due to the wide range of shredding models, other configuration variations may be available.
When installing the counter knife, please assure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
