The counter knife is made of tool steel and is thus assigned to our X-variation, which is the standard variant in most applications.

Here you are offered a good compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

In this version, the spare parts are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the counter knife wears homogenously over its lifespan.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will fundamentally weaken the structure.
