In the X-variation, the counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard option in most break down applications. It is characterised by a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Cutting tools of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life span.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will acutely weaken the structure.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

The counter knife can be used for knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 40mm. Due to the broad range of recycling machines, other configuration variants are possible.

When installing the counter knife, please ensure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
