This counter knife is ideally suitable for crushers, shredders, pre-shredders and post-shredders from Vecoplan.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a considerable effect on the insensitivity and durability.

This alloyed tool steel is 5 % softer than the X-variation and is therefore less sensitive to fractures. This makes this W-version ideal for utilizations where impurities are present in the input. In return, however, this variant has a shorter longevity.

In this option, the products are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the counter knife wears evenly over its lifetime.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of components of this version, as the structure will otherwise be severely impaired. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

The counter knife can be used for knives and cutters with a length and width of 60mm. Due to the broad range of models, other configuration variations are possible.

When attaching the counter knife, please ensure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
