The wear behaviour and thus also the lifetime of the product can be impacted by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the performance can be well adapted to the application.
The spare part shown is made of tool steel in the X-variant, which is our standard variation for most operational scenarios. The hardness of this counter knife is in the medium range.
Here you are offered a balanced relationship between insensitivity to wear and toughness simultaneously.
Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the service life of the counter knife.
It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of spare parts of this version, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.
Fastening in the machine:
The counter knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.
This counter knife can be combined with knives and cutters with a length and width of 110mm. Due to the wide range of recycling machines, other configuration variations are possible.
When fitting the counter knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
