The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the lifetime of the product can be influenced by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the efficiency can be well adapted to the input.

In the X-option, this counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variant in most applications. It is characterised by a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the tool life of the counter knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of cutting tools of this version, as the structure will otherwise be severely impaired. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted external on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

The item is ideal for knives and also cutters with the length and width of 248mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, various configuration variants can be realised.

When attaching the counter knife, please assure that it is only fitted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
