In the X-option, the counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variation in most break down applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.
This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.
Components of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.
Hardfacing or welding on this variant should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be significantly weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
Fastening in the machine:
The counter knife is mounted external on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.
This product is ideal for knives and also cutters with the length and width of 248mm. With regard to the various range of models, other configuration options can be realised.
When installing, please also ensure that the support of the knives is in an undamaged condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
