Cutting performance and durability:

Through the use of various materials and varying the cutting shape, the item can be adjusted to the area of application in terms of throughput and knife life.

The W-option is produced from alloy tool steel. In contrast to the X-variation, it has a shorter service life due to the 5 % lower hardness. However it is also less fragile in parallel. Knives of the W-variant are suitable for utilizations where the contact surface is no longer flat or there are impurities in the input material.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the lifetime of the counter knife.

Hardfacing or welding on this variant should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted external on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

This component fits knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 80mm. Due to the broad range of recycling models, other configuration variations may be available.

When attaching the counter knife, please ensure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
